December Birthday's

We have five birthdays in december that i have recieved so far here they are and a little background on each

Carol McLaughlin's b-day is 12/2 Carol is the daughter of Bob and Betty(Weir) Clark the granddaughter of Tom and Molly(Galvin) Weir .

Karen McCafferty's b-day is 12/8 Karen is the daughter of Peter and Maureen(Weir) McCafferty the granddaughter of Tom and Molly (Galvin)Weir also.

Joe Galvin b-day 12/9 Joe( also known as Dennis) is the son of Padeen and Kitty Galvin.

Elizabeth Ofenloch b-day is also 12/9 Elizabeth is the daughter of Anne( McCafferty) Ofenloch the granddaughter of Peter and Maureen(Weir) McCafferty and the great granddaughter of Tom and Molly(Galvin) Weir.

Fiona O'Connor b-day is 12/11 Fiona is the daughter of Mike and Helen( Galvin) O'Connor the granddaughter of James and Eileen Galvin.

Meet the Kinaci's

I have just recieved a picture of Mark and Kathy(O'leary) Kinaci and have posted it.Kathy is the daughter of Buz and Alice(Shorten) O'leary and the granddaughter of Gus and Nora (Galvin) Shorten.Mark and Kathy have just relocated from San Francisco to Tampa Bay and on there cross country trip and they kept track by means of a blog site, it is www.koandtheturk.blogspot.com , it also has pictures on the rehab of there new home and thanksgiving day pictures at Buz and Alice's home, check it out.

Not much to report

Hello all, not much to report at this time .Kathy Kinaci ( O'leary) wrote in to say that herself and husband Mark will be coming in June,they are in the process of moving to florida,theTampa Bay area from San Franciso something about bays i guess.The last i heard a large contingent will be making the pilgrimage to Buffalo from Florida .I will be posting birthdays for December over the weekend so send them if if you have not already.

Meet the Ferris Family

Richard and Fran Ferris have send me some pictures that i have posted, Richard is the son of Edward(Ned) and Elizabeth (Galvin) Ferris.The Ferriss' live in England and are planning to come to the reunion.The one picture is of Elizabeth holding Richard and his brother Eddie on Christmas Day 1946,Richard is on the left,the other picture is the wedding picture of Edward and Elizabeth 1939.

Catherine Woods is putting together a photo collection to bring here next year and is looking for pictures to add to the collection,please foward them to her @ cathwood1@gmail.com.Catherine i have not been able to get through to you at that address i don't know if the problem is at my end or yours but i will keep trying.

Meet the Woods' Family

Catherine Woods (Galvin) has sent me the birthdays of the family,there are none in November but we did have two in October and since we started this in October we will be addin them to the the list.John Woods celebrated his on 10/2 and his daughter Aisling on 10/6, now let me begin at the begining.James and Eileen Galvins son ,John who married Margaret had a daughter Catherine who married John Woods and they had three fine children Aisling, Clodagh and Be'bhinn,so there you have it.The Woods' hail from Killorglin ,County Kerry and will be coming to the reunion next year and we can't wait to meet them.


PS I am still looking for more information on the rest of the clan E-Mail, birthdays ,pictures etc.i dont have any (other than Catherine's ) of Johnny's clan if anyone can get them to me it would be a big help. That' s it for now.

and the grandson of Gus and Nora(Galvin) Shorten.Duncan Hotchkiss has a birthday on 11/8,Duncan is the great grandson of Gus and Nora(Galvin) Shorten the grandson of Buz and Alice O'Leary
and the son of John and Jackie Hotchkiss.Megan O'Leary will turn another year older on 11/9 ,Megan's parents are Sean and Tamara O'Leary her grand parents are Buz and Alice O'Leary and her great grand parents are Gus and Nora(Galvin) Shorten.

Mystery Solved

Mary McCafferty has informed me that the man in the wedding picture is Mike Wall, a second cousin to Tom Weir .Toms brother Gene had just arrived to the US and did not own a suit and hence was not in the wedding party.

November News

Greetings
November is here and i am looking at my list of birthdays and i have only one.Sara Reilly,Tim Clarks granddaughter,daughter of Paul and Chrissy Reilly has a birthday on 11/2.
Mary McCafferty has sent me two pictures of our grandparents, Tom and Molley Weir,they are of there wedding which was 11/06/30, 77 years ago WOW.I also have a picture of them with aunt Nora and her with the best man i think(if any body knows who it is let me know).The O'Learys have sent me some pictures and i have put one up and will putting the rest up over the coming months.
The pictue that is up now is of Harold(Buz), Alice,Jacquie,Tim,Kevin,Sean and Cathy.Wll thats it for now keep the pictures and important dates coming

Another County Heard From

We just heard from Richard and Frances Ferris and they will be coming to the reunion,wont it be grand.I forgot to mention that Catherine Galvin would have been 107 and Molly Galvin would have been 104 .I will be posting the November birthdays and anniversaries soon so send them as soon as you can, if its not to much trouble.Thats it for now.

OK OK I know i need to get a life,but i am tying to make this interesting.The buffalo branch got together monday nite and worked on some things and plans are coming along nicely details to follow when we complete them.A thought on the birthday list if you could also sent along a picture
